added some encounter icons, messed a bit with with what order they spawn in. It'll be something I just have to go back to and modify once I have those events in place, think it's at a good point at the moment. Just gonna work on tackling the combat next, which I think will take some time. #gamedev

I got random gen branching paths working for my map system. Making it so that you'll only be able to select what path is linked in front of you took me a bit. Essentially realized I had solved that problem with linking the lines previously & just had to store that info in the previous node #gamedev

spent the weekend getting this randomized node map generator working for my next game. I initially had the nodes determining what was next in sequence but realized that was just too unwieldy to manage what was next in sequence & rewrote to have a generator object building it up the y axis. #gamedev

Was thinking of live streaming game dev again but really it would be me googling every second thing and just rereading gamemaker’s manual for the thousandth time on stream. Today I had to relearn how the lerp camera and viewpoints work in GameMaker. Ive released a game in this engine!!!

Been researching rotoscoping and was even looking up buying a digital camera (hilarious unnecessary) and realized I have a canon DSLR collecting dust. Kinda curious what that workflow pipeline looks like but gonna give it a go.

Finished all the Silent Hill f endings. Loved the story, visuals and EVEN the combat. I think halfway through the first playthrough I got a better sense of how the combat works, and maybe in combination with all the stamina and omamori upgrades, Hinako becomes an absolute beast (heh).
