Dr. Alyson Sujkowski's experimental model mimicking a sedentary lifestyle showing lack of movement leads to weaker muscles and shorter lifespans. But, the experiments also showed that even short exercise programs dramatically improved lifelong health.

On Wednesday, @waynestate med students Luv Thakkar and Sanjana Kumar, w/ Sr Assoc. Dean of Students Dr. Margit Chadwell, received a $15,000 start-up grant from the @cityofdetroit for Fluoroscreen, their medical innovation that would detect colon cancer via a urine test. We're beyond proud of them!
