The first 3 episodes of #TheMightyNein drop today and rest assured y'all, somehow the folks at @criticalrole.bsky.social and Titmouse surpassed all expectations. The Mighty Nein animated series is funny, dark, emotional, irreverent, and a beautiful adaptation of the story we know and love.

I'll share my official Autostraddle review when it goes live but in the meantime I just wanted to say how much I really, really enjoyed #TheMightyNein. It's a feat of storytelling and animation, and really captures the heart of #CriticalRole while also being something brand new. Enjoy!!

I love the first 3 episodes of #TheMightyNein and now I’m really curious what prompted them to hide half the track titles on the soundtrack after the end of episode 3. Also, I really like Fjord’s haircut.

I’m not gonna spoil anything for folks who haven’t watched the first episode yet but I absolutely love how Beau, Yasha, Caleb, and Nott’s stories are being handled so far. And Yasha’s story seems to have so much potential to make future events hit so much harder. #TheMightyNein

The first episode of #TheMightyNein is so fucking good. The episode is up on YouTube for the weekend so you can see if you like it. It’s queer, emotional, action packed, and the beginning of one of the best found family stories imo.

I swear if anyone starts up the bullshit “Beauyasha isn’t good lesbian rep” discourse again because of The Mighty Nein show I’m gonna fucking scream. I don’t fucking care that you ship Beau with someone else but your ship isn’t better rep than Beauyasha just because you don’t like Beauyasha.

On a related note to Arcane, the argument that male characters are just better written for why you only ship two men together and not two women is a bullshit argument to cover for your dislike of lesbians and has been for a long ass time.
November 12, 2025 at 7:01 AM
Having finished rewatching Arcane I really think a lot of the discourse in the fandom stems from folks just hating lesbians and trying to find a moral reason to dislike the lesbian couple.

I started rewatching #Arcane and so much of Vi’s arc makes sense when you acknowledge that she’s an eldest daughter with a need to protect those she loves who suffered the massive trauma of losing her family twice before spending years thrown in a terrible prison with no trial.

folks, we gotta start shattering the single family household structure and expectation STAT to survive. go back to generational and/or multi-family house living. we need our communities. offer that extra empty room to a friend.

The best news Bioware could have given me today is that the tv show won’t be retelling Shepard’s story and that’s exactly what they did.

God I’ve missed #TheMightyNein. This wedding one shot may be on repeat until the show premiers because I’m laughing my ass off. #CriticalRole

I need everyone outside of Texas who isn’t familiar with Texas elections to shut the fuck up about the results of our elections. It’s not Texans are dumb or the state is just deep red, both of those are false. We’ve been rigged and gerrymandered for so long that the opposition is browbeaten.

I’m so glad to see the rest of the country getting good election results, because we sure didn’t here in Tx. Every horrible amendment to the state constitution passed including the parents rights one.

Georgia Democrats had not won a statewide race that wasn't for a federal office since 2006.

They won two races tonight, both against GOP incumbents.

The margins? 62% to 38% in both.

This is the first time in ages I haven’t voted early so I’m now sitting outside a nearly empty mall waiting for my polling place to open so I can vote instead of going home after work.

Does the version of Welcome to Wildemount in #TheMightyNein opening title sequence make anyone else think of Peter Gabriel’s cover of Heroes with the way it builds up and has a bit of a darker, more haunting spin to it than the original? #CriticalRole
