You don't owe abusive and hateful people (or their enablers) grief when they die, and you don't have to be silent about how horrible they were.
Just because you weren't personally abused or raped by a person doesn't mean they're incapable of perpetrating sexual violence.

Particularly if you're expected to show up for abusers & enablers.

Instead of telling people to "feel grateful it wasn't worse," (and insist they embrace denial) simply support their genuine feelings & honesty.
