AV2 in discussion is interesting. AV1 hasn’t “won” yet, but there are definitely threads that indicate AV1 will in fact dominate CDN/Internet delivery of streaming media. Intel and Apple bet on the decode engine years ago. We need more enc engines.

Pluribus was a bit of a slow burn?? I’m in. It was a whole season of foreshadowing. Which, can work, but it’ll definitely need to show up in S2.

Dreamt last night I arrived to a party in a solar powered car. It was a party opening a new Internet POP in an underserved part of the world. Bill Gates was there for some reason. Even dreamed a Grafana dashboard. There was a countdown to the first BGP announce. Can’t make this up.

Very early in tech, identity was highlighted as a very difficult problem to solve. Bill Gates talked about it frequently within Microsoft. IAM has become so complex it’s now a discipline. Identity isn’t solved, it will continue to evolve. What’s meant for my ears, may not be meant for my eyes.
