Half an hour after getting to the office my thighs and bum are still freezing from the ride in. Realising it's because they're the fat bits adds a double blow to the coldness of the temperature today.

The Halloween sweeties have merged in to the Christmas sweeties as God* intended.

*tesco, apparently, seeing as they’ve been selling the Christmas stuff since Halloween.

It’s a good day when dinner involves melted cheese and two different hot sauces.

Whilst I don't particularly enjoy a vehicle that overshot the traffic light line trying to reverse back to it while I'm behind them, it is most enjoyable to allow my car to utter the fullest and loudest horn blare. She does such a pleasing 'parrrrrrp' noise and I so rarely get to hear it.

I’ve decided that having an alcohol free beer because you’re hungover shall henceforth be known as ‘puppy of the dog’.

It's finally All Hallows, I'm so excited. I love this day. As a pagan it's a beautiful thing to take a moment and reflect on those we lost this year, and prepare for the darker days. I also bloody love the particular brand of kitsch this festival attracts.

All of the permutations of this in the Quotes are perfect. Every single one.

Spent ages trying to work out why my mouse was glitching, turned it off abs on, removed and re-added it, googled for bugs. There was a jumper fibre on the sensor. Hello autumn.

My copy of the Map Men’s ‘This way up’ arrived today and even just the dedication has given me the giggles. This is going to be a good read 😅

What I love most about the first proper rain of autumn is how there's leaf matter all over the roads and paths, so using my bike breaks sharpish is *risky* but also everyone drives like they live in LA and so using my breaks is *necessary*

If your compassionate leave policy is discretionary, you don't have a policy. What you have an inequitable and opaque bidding opportunity which adds to stress at your employee's worst moment and benefits those who can advocate for themselves over those who can't in that moment.

Picking up my order from a DIY store, it contained a jab saw. As the guy handed it to me he said ‘you be careful with that won’t you’. I avoided the temptation to be careless with it or my words as I took my order and walked away wondering why we still keep doing this to women.

Today my Wordle pals and I are sharing our guesses and have concluded we should never share our Wordle guesses with any therapists. Some great Wordle poetry in there too.

Looking for which model Kindle I got my partner, I had reason to search 'Kindle' in my Amazon orders, which is how I found out I've read 42 books on Kindle since Nov 23. Kindle is about half of my reading as I also get paper books and periodicals. This is definitely a brag. I impressed myself.
