I had the honor of writing the 1,000th story to be featured on @escapepod.org

I remember the very first episode of Escape Pod going live almost 20 years ago.

We’ve both come a long way, and we’re both still here.

My thanks to @mightymur.bsky.social @valerievaldes.bsky.social @escapeartists.net
Sapients, behold: we've added an extra digit! Escape Pod episode ONE THOUSAND! Today we bring you "A Thousand Names for God and Infinite Mustard" by @mattfnwallace.bsky.social, a story about the age-old theme of finding God and what we're going to do to him once we find him.

Now then, we just need to take this intruder we found skulking around to the airlock for a quick jettison, and-- what

Escape Pod is a Hugo finalist! Enormous thanks to everyone who voted for us, but also to the authors who trusted their stories to us, the narrators and hosts who brought them to life, our audio producers who made them sound great, and our associate and assistant editors for their diligent curation.

Also gonna note that Escape Pod could have little a nomination, as a treat, along with me and Mur as editors!
Hugo nominations are open apparently! I have:
-a novel
-a novella
-a novelette
-a short story
-a poem?? do Hugos do this, I think they don’t

I feel both proud and weird for having some kind of pyramid of writing from large to small
I finally put together a list of my work from this year, and it was pretty cool to be able to look back and go, yeah, I did stuff! candleinsunshine.com/news/what-i-...
