I've been absent from #Bluesky for about six months, ever since I learned of the platform disproportionally silencing Palestinian voices.
I'm not sure what my course of action will be, this is not something I stand for, this is not the environment the @excelsiorclub.bsky.social aims to foster.

It's been a hot minute!

The #ExcelsiorClub took a forced brake in it's activity but it's officially back!

Our next meeting is on the 25th of May at 2PM GMT+1, and we will be discussing Hell is a Squared Circle by Chris Condon with art by Francesco Biagini.

I'm not very well-versed on Alan Moore's work, I've only read Watchmen and V for Vendetta. But recently I've been making my way through his run on the Saga of the Swamp Thing and I'm enjoying it so much I had to post about it.
Definently my favourite work of his so far.

This book is quite whimsical, I liked the writing a lot and the world felt real and immersive. The beginning of the story was a bit slower but in general, I had a good time.

Finally, to announce our next read on Bluesky, the #ExcelsiorClub #ComicBook club will meet on the 9th of March of 2025 at 14:00 GMT, to discuss the X-Men: God Loves, Men Kills by Christ Claremont. A powerful story that deals with themes of prejudice, intolerance, and the fight for equality.
