Just spent almost 50 euros on The Godfather for PS3. That’s who I am now. Almost convinced myself not to do it but I have always been curious about this game and apparently it’s super rare? Took my chance on it

Thinking that my plan for tonight will be to move from OpenSuse Tumbleweed to catchy os. I really need the Mesa 25.2 update that Tumbleweed is lagging on that.

Great use of everyone’s time
Suspicious edits, and even entirely new articles, with errors, made-up citations and other hallmarks of AI-generated writing keep popping up on Wikipedia.

The site’s stewards are now toiling for long hours to find them and stamp them out.
Volunteers fight to keep ‘AI slop’ off Wikipedia
Hundreds of Wikipedia articles may contain AI-generated errors. Editors are working around the clock to stamp them out.

Nobody can convince me that LLMs aren’t just the Emperors New Clothes at a global scale. The amount of crap they produce where everyone just goes “impressive” is too much.
THERE'S HUGE GAPS BETWEEN THE BUILDINGS AND THE ROOFS

I feel like that about people who use AI at work but, at the same time, it’s also something that is incentivized so I also don’t want to say it. But yes, it’s lazy and a lot of the output is meaningless
"Participants consistently rated the employees who used AI as lazier, less competent, less diligent, and less independent than those in the other two conditions... These results show that people really do hold negative views of AI users, even when the help received is essentially the same."
People who use AI may pay a social price, according to new psychology research
Worried that using AI tools like ChatGPT at work makes you look lazy? New research suggests you might be right. A study finds employees who use AI are often judged more harshly, facing negative percep...

My boss has started sending me notes that were compiled using an LLM. The side effect of this is that I cannot infer anything from this writing because these aren’t actually his words. It’s like we are ignoring that choosing what to write/say is a pretty important part of communication

A única maneira de isto ser possível era com uma cultura de sindicalização muito mais forte do que a que temos.

Bought and refunded Helldivers 2 from the steam sales. It looked fun but maybe too much of a time sink to get into, especially needing to commit with other people. I’m just not at that stage in life lol

Another day of having to pretend to be excited for some of the most useless uses of LLMs imaginable at work. What a shit future we are in.

Got my 9060 XT and it’s working fine with Tumbleweed but Steam in home streaming is worse than before. Not sure if it’s because of the maturity of the drivers or something else. I’m also tempted to switch to Cachy OS now for better overall compatibility

Bought a 9060 XT today for my machine. I’m closer to selling my Xbox than ever (still have some BC games that I wanted to play) while my PS5 will probably exclusives machine until it’s obsolete.

I’m starting to wonder if I can launch some games commercially and , while I realize tools like ChatGPT, could help me kickstart a lot of things it feels so wrong to use it. I was making a simple website and it just felt empty vs actually building it.
