Politically I'm certain of 2 things,
1. Trump is a convicted felon and should be in prison, not the White House.
2. Stephen Miller is behind the illegal deportation of American citizens
Three things actually, they're both complete dicks.🇺🇲🇨🇦🇺🇦🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

IUPAT President @jimmy-iupat.bsky.social is right:

Temporary Protected Status recipients are rigorously vetted, pay taxes, and do work in critical industries. They are part of our communities and our unions—they deserve respect and protection.

America’s unions will keep fighting for them.

Adelaide Springett died in 1986 in Fulham aged ninety-three, without any traceable relatives.
The London Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Social Services Department was her executor.

Adding to my time travel to do list the following; find Adelaide, give her a hug, buy her a better life.

I respectfully disagree with the jury’s verdict in the Judge Hannah Dugan case.

The trial evidence showed that Judge Dugan did not obstruct ICE agents from arresting an undocumented immigrant.

Let’s see what happens on appeal. Meanwhile, our support for Judge Dugan continues.

In Illinois, ICE agents have been documented swapping license plates to hide their identity. Under Illinois law, this constitutes a Class A misdemeanor.

The state has made clear that this law will be enforced. Federal agents are not exempt from Illinois vehicle and registration statutes.

FYI Petfinder has recently changed policies for searches on out of town pets, which is drastically shifting the abilities of small rescues in Texas to move dogs out of Texas to adopters in other parts of the country. If you've adopted from a small rescue, please amplify their rescue work.

Better late than never.

It's an acknowledgement of fking up in the past, and only from there can the government say: from now on, we'll do better.

Meanwhile UK descendants of enslaved people paid taxes to pay off Consols interest, the gilts which were used to compensate slave owners <until 2015>.

Today, French lawmakers unanimously approved a bill exonerating women punished for abortion before it was legalized in 1975.
This "is an act of justice toward those thousands of lives shattered by unjust laws," said Aurore Bergé, minister-delegate for gender equality.
France exonerates women convicted over abortions before legalisation
Between 1870 and 1975, more than 11,660 people were convicted for performing or seeking an abortion, according to official estimates.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
