It is funny to me to think how much of the concept of Sheila as a character was born from the fact I couldn't answer the question "how do I put Sheila in other AUs and make her still /feel/ like Sheila? what makes Sheila feel like Sheila and not some other character who just looks like her?"

tbh it's because sheila is a character I've had for years before I started playing ffxiv, I have tons of commissions of her from over the years, and I'm rarely satisfied with vanilla customization options when it comes to recreating her.

For me it's about having my character properly shown in the game. The game has a serious lack of styles for PoC characters and the ones we do have are so unserious.

Also I get a little "teehee :3c" over the fact Sheila is still very much a baby in terms of immortality. She's only been this way forrrr... 13 years? Girl has not exceeded her natural lifespan yet. every now and then I remember sheila did not actually leave the ragnarok to see ultima thule for herself with cillian and the scions at the time because they thought the risk of her turning into a blasphemy was too high
