lately my partner has been drinking a daily protein shake and she is finally starting to understand why I refer to the protein shake as a punishment for my weightlifting hubris
Universal basic protein shakes

Call that right of whey

one of my favorite stories from the Kalevala is ol Väinämöinen deciding he needs a new boat so he starts up the song that gets the saws and wood up bopping to the beat starting to make his dream boat and gets about halfway through, then realizes he doesn’t remember how it ends
What’s blowing my mind a bit is that so many things are ‘learn by doing’ but the doing is blocked by abstruse usability (thinking git, TeX, lots of stuff is like this). Claude code shorts out the abstruse usability concerns so you can just do things. And in the doing I am pretty sure I have learned.

hmm throwing a neuro proposal across the line let’s see if using enough immuno background can conceal that I don’t know my dentate gyrus from my inferior frontal sulcus

punched a 3mm square hole in my knuckle fixing a robot actuator 3 days ago and it’s been interesting to watch it heal, day 1 was scab formation, day 2 it leaked a lot of lymph, now on day 3 it’s hardened up and I can see the ring of fibroblasts starting to tug it closed, no longer square

I honestly kind of love the Cybertrucks for how clearly they mark someone willing to finance a $100k asset that depreciates 40% the moment they drive it off the lot
tired: yelling at LLMs on Bluesky
wired: flipping off a cybertruck IRL (seriously try this it's massively cathartic)

Idk dog I got a field of view and a resolution spec. In an hour I had the optical stack with two validation tests and a ray traced components diagram. In two more I had a simulation of scope outputs, a counterproposal (I think they’re gonna want darkfield not brightfield), and the analysis algo

this sounds exactly like the kinda game I cannot let myself play, lest what remains of my sleep and good habits evaporate
People should play Old World more: it's a 4X game with some dynasty/internal factional elements, and it's probably the best 4X since Civ 6?

If you put the settings on right, you can end up murdered by a bloodthirsty niece, or have one your factional families in near-open revolt.
