gaining 40lb of muscle has been HARD WORK

my baseline is forgetting to eat to the point that the hypoglycemia fireflies enter my visual field so managing a caloric surplus has taken a lot lot lotttt of work

lately my partner has been drinking a daily protein shake and she is finally starting to understand why I refer to the protein shake as a punishment for my weightlifting hubris
Universal basic protein shakes

I knew someone by your name in MI who also answered to the name Pokey, any relation?
February 12, 2026 at 12:40 AM
do you think training a model and serving a model are the same thing? eg I canโ€™t train a Qwen on my local machine but I can run it
February 12, 2026 at 12:38 AM
you gonna take my computers?
February 11, 2026 at 11:56 PM
that does, what?
February 11, 2026 at 11:56 PM
wow thatโ€™s a very convenient way to ensure that you donโ€™t have to do anything more than be a reactionary until 2029
February 11, 2026 at 9:58 PM
you could? how?
February 11, 2026 at 9:56 PM
^ did not read the article but not going to let that get in the way of feeling clever
February 11, 2026 at 8:53 PM
indeed, so many people here confident about the experimentsโ€™ results without even needing to read the article

fascinating
February 11, 2026 at 8:52 PM

February 11, 2026 at 8:44 PM
well youโ€™re not going to get that unless you install government spyware to monitor what everyone does at all times on their computers sooooo
February 11, 2026 at 8:41 PM
right a billion monthly users is either fake or a special magical scenario where the demand is fake
February 11, 2026 at 8:40 PM
can you show us why your opinion thatโ€™s fundamentally not how they work is more correct than over 100 subject matter experts without repeating anti-vaxxer anti-expertise nullthoughts?
February 11, 2026 at 8:33 PM
right so explain how, if thatโ€™s your frame, you believe you have the *luxury* of choosing issues to ignore
February 11, 2026 at 8:31 PM
I donโ€™t like the gene network models
much, itโ€™s like โ€œwe made a model! now what?โ€ bc graph edit distance between hairballs is stupid slow so instead Iโ€™m rowing hard towards gene-gene curvature terms on dose response surfaces
February 11, 2026 at 7:28 PM
ayyy biology classes do this too: how many ways can biology implement a repressilator? who knows weโ€™re not done counting!
February 11, 2026 at 6:38 PM
side of legs and back are still pretty bald compared to other primates: no selection for total hairlessness there why bother suppressing all hair follicles? takes a much bigger evo shift to turn off all hair than to downshift existing hair density or texture
February 11, 2026 at 6:35 PM
no friction selection up there
