this is why i don't generally call it the furry "fandom" because it's not really a fandom centered around a piece of media or IP! it's a COMMUNITY! a subculture even, but definitely not a fandom by its standard definition
Furry is closer to a Punk counter culture society than a fandom which is why hating Furries is extremely conservative brained behavior
