A look at some of my original art. These days, I've settled on Strathmore 500 Series Mixed Media Board for the ground, and graphite, liquid charcoal, Prismacolor pencils and acrylic white for the mediums.
Some of my C2E2 2025 haul, this one from the man on a mission to #keepcraftalive, @inkpulp himself, Shawn Crystal.

Here’s another to celebrate the start of C2E2. I’ll be there today. Who else issuing?

Part of my Comics DNA: Batman Annual No. 8 (Vol. 5, 1982) with art by Trevor Von Eeden. This book lives rent free in my brain. Von Eeden was pushing against the edges of style and page design at that time.

Part of my Comics DNA, part 02: Graphic Storytelling video series by P. Craig Russell. Creeping up on 15 years since their release, this series of videos shape a great deal of my understanding of how to tell a story visually. Essential viewing in every sense by one of the greats.

Part of my Comics DNA, part 01: The art of P. Craig Russell. His interpretation of light and shadow through linework is just — no other way I can express it — sublime. I still want to draw like him when I grow up.

Part of my Comics DNA: THRILLER. The energy and creative invention of the art and layouts by Trevor Von Eeden stretched the possibilities of what could be done with a comic book page.

Just read this, and I may need therapy. Congrats to Jim Mahfood on a story and art that reminds us of the awesome vision and energy of indie creators and what comics can be!

Now is a time to fight, and it should be a fight in which the allegiance of the American public to a free and fair press is clear. We hope.
Now Is the Time to Stand Up for Press Freedom
Bad-faith lawsuits, ugly smears, and even violence against journalists are becoming more common. To that, we must all say, ‘Enough.’
