In Opinion

Rob Reiner “was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room. He had a beautiful sense of uninhibited freedom, fully enjoying the life of the moment,” Martin Scorsese writes in reflection of his friendship with Reiner.

“We had a natural affinity for each other,” Martin Scorsese writes of Rob Reiner.

Hey KFOX 98.5, Bay Area—there are other bands than Aerosmith and AC/DC. And Steve Miller Band isn’t one of them. FYI. Also, fuck your ICE ads. #overplayed #fuckICE #KFOX

Look, grab your loved ones and hold them tighter. Tell them, unprompted, how you know them to be worthy of loving. They’ll get a hint of how they’ll be remembered. So much loss needs to be offset with active love in the present. Start there, you guys.

Absolutely rattled, saddened, and bewildered by this news. Rob Reiner was pivotal in so many ways. Rob Reiner’s influence will remain pivotal in so many ways. Let us remember him well.

Taking a break from the sickening tragedy to focus on the beauty for a moment. Rob Reiner achieved something so rare and coveted that artists and entertainers dream of and rarely achieve: cultural permanence. How many times have you made a reference to something going to 11? Shouted "Inconceivable"?

More super rough dev for THE MURDER OF MAKE-BELIEVE…these three are central, but even they don’t know how or why. They’ll discover spotlight isn’t for everyone. #graphicnovel #bts #wip

SINNERS rewatch: This will stick. The sound choices alone—hearing a secondary story during exposition—and it’s a step forward. Take the aspect ratio shifts for punctuation, pushing to engage cinema in a similar fashion to how lenses are used for emotional impact, and it’s another step forward. 1/2

Someone’s buying that company, and man, we better hope it’s Netflix if it’s anyone.

THE MURDER OF MAKE-BELIEVE dev exploration continues—the plan is to paint this book, but it’ll likely have some mixed media and different styles to delineate different things. It is thematically tackling ADHD, after all. #graphicnovel #wip

I’ve been ensnarled with the writing of my next book. It’s an autobio—tackling being an adult, and a storyteller, with ADHD—focusing on half-finished stories and working on my kid’s LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS production. And yeah—this guy plays a round-about part. youtu.be/NgV63l9khBQ

Yeah. I never realized, until digging in, where Make-Believe began for me. The Neighborhood was part of it. And it’s part of what shaped me as a storyteller, and it plays a part in my next book. www.facebook.com/FredRogersPr...
