keep making art but just don't delude yourself into thinking that youre engaging in real resistance. Do something so people you will never meet who live on the other side of the planet will be able to relax and engage in their own self care and draw their own pictures in peace too.

you dont have to do everything single-handedly but you gotta at the absolute least start by finding SOMEWHERE you can be of assistance and then actually showing up and doing something, that is the only fucking option. find a mutual aid org and see what you can do to help. make some phone calls.

you have to do something more. You have to get involved with actual community, not fandom, and find some jobs that need doing/need help. You have to do material things that will help people who are being actively harmed and no amount of mental health breaks will make it easier so better start now

"joy is an act of resistance" is not praxis and while im a firm believer that art is good for the soul even during hard times, you have got to be fucking real for a second and realize that drawing pictures is not gonna help someone who is being bombed by the US government

I still got that darn cat on the brain, AND I've been getting bit by the character design bug! Expressions are my favorite thing to draw, and they made Pawbert's face SO RUBBERY in Zootopia 2, he was just so fun to watch! I tried to do him justice with a few expressions of my own!
