As a student I completely agree with this. College can be very stressful at times and I can testify that the stress definitely impacts all of these areas of my life. That's why I put in a lot of effort to eat healthy and not miss any meals. Sleeping is also crucial. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Stress does not stay in the head. It affects sleep, digestion, appetite, focus, and energy. Caring for yourself and setting boundaries is not disengaging from the world. It is how people stay capable of doing meaningful work in it. #RealWorldNutrition #MentalHealth #SelfCare

Even though I've been meal prepping as well as dieting for a long time, I realized that most of the time I can't fully remember what I ate for the whole day if it's not written down. I tried recalling what I ate yesterday and I was only able to remember until my lunch. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I completely agree with this! I believe that building healthy habits while also using lab results to guide our understanding of nutrition is key to a healthy lifestyle. Using science-based information helps us feel safe and well while navigating our day to day lives. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
Health is more than labs or the scale. Eating regularly, moving the body in realistic ways, sleeping enough, and managing stress all matter. Long-term health comes from repeatable habits, not quick fixes.

I initially thought refined grains meant healthier because of the wording, but whole grains are the more complete. Refined grains are missing key components essential to our health such as the bran and germ that whole grains contain. @beh353.bsky.social sky.social #beh353

I agree that food shouldn't be about guilt or punishment. For me, staying disciplined with healthy habits makes certain foods feel more enjoyable, almost like I earned them, even though that was never my mindset or goal. It's more about overall balance and sustainability. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
PSA: You don’t have to earn your food. It’s not a reward for being “good” or punishment for being “bad.”

When reading nutrition articles, I'll focus more on their validity, study design, research quality, and strength of evidence. I'll also watch out for provocative headlines, since media often misrepresents science to sell stories even when the research is poor. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

BS in PreDental - Dental Hygiene class of 2028. My desire for a healthy lifestyle and needing an elective are the reasons why I chose this course. I'm curious about how nutrition has an impact with our oral health. Healthy eating = balance & consistency. My favorite food is file mignon risotto.
