What does it feel like to be paid not to work?

In a new paper I discuss the experiences of furloughed workers I interviewed from across the UK. My study revealed that, for some, furlough became a disorientating experience.

Really enjoying revisting Peter Conrad's excellent radio series 21st Century Mythodologies www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/... . Following Roland Barthes, Conrad offers objects representative of culture (in 2014) by skillfully weaving mythological, historical, religious, and contemporary references.

Totally hooked on #Shifty onBBCIplayer.Documentary essay of changes in Britain since 1980 constructed as a patchwork of footage of the time.It weaves the seeds of things which have become the norm with events & attitudes of the time & underpinned by the effects of Conservative economic experiments

Come! Brian’s book is what we need right now - I know I am biased, but truly, this is an epistemic book. It is not only a book about Trump - it is a book about the logics of contemporary fascism. And about ways of moving elsewhere, and otherwise.
