We can’t let up on boycotts. It’s one of our strongest weapons. Making a starter pack today. Will look for people who help spread the boycott guide here: psychopete1.substack.com/p/psycho-pet...

Once you get the hang of growing basil, you end up with butt loads of it. Pesto being made!

I went in to Target this morning to compare to last year when I was there last year to buy something. Huge difference. No lines. Target’s path off this boycott? Denounce Trump and all of his policies. Reinstate DEI. Apologize for being pricks. psychopete1.substack.com/p/psycho-pet...

Going to see a kitchen designer tomorrow, to hopefully blow this room up and start again. We've done as much as we can to it. I have a very specific list of gripes for her to address 😂

So glad we kept our physical media players. As Disney and Spotify have both raised their prices, I've just bought the box set of the main show we were watching, second hand £7.70. We still have CDs and a player, but I'm yet to work out what to do when running, which is when i use Spotify. Once i do

There’s no screening for ovarian cancer and it’s really difficult to spot: you can’t squidge your ovaries in the shower to check for lumps. Also it’s very good at masquerading at other things, like IBS and diverticulitis.

Please take a look at this list of symptoms - and share if you can.

After Screwfix did me wrong, twice, third time lucky with the switches of dreams. Although i had to use the old rank screws because the nice new ones didn't fit the back box this plate is supposedly designed for 🤨

Had a long but awesome day at the forge, making this beauty with @kndrj.bsky.social

I bet some of you don't even get excited about light switches, but lads and lasses, I think I've finally found what I've been looking for. Matt black dolly rocker that should fit our 16 mm back boxes and only £7 a pop in screwfix. That's my Sunday sorted.

We are going for a long awaited, make your own dagger day at a local forge tomorrow. We both had covid and flu jabs yesterday and we both have sore arms. Should have thought about this more carefully.

Don't say "quick question". It implies in turn that I can give you a quick answer. Not possible in my line of work. Also, maybe i don't want to answer quickly even if I can. I will die on this hill.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

Great round up, as ever. Got me thinking. As a regular beer fan and one time pub and taproom fanatic, I'm trying to pin down why I can't be bothered to go out to drink any more. Probably a mixture of the same old limited choices at high prices (Madri, anyone?) at all the pubs nearby (1/2)
GOOD MORNING! Pubs are struggling. The 2026 Good Beer Guide is "a triumph". Craft beer is still growing in India. Gen Z really isn't drinking. BrewDog beers have lost their edge. Nobody really knows which is the oldest pub in London. New Boddies is "drinkable". 🍺🍻

Our final night in Rome, and on holiday. At Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fà, the most pub-like venue of our holiday so far, with a good vibe and pretty much 50:50 men and women. An impressive 3.9% Italian session IPA for me by MC 77 and an XPA for @kndrj.bsky.social by Corgi

Rome - started off on a bad foot, food wise. Has become much better after finding this small but perfect craft beer bar. Sadly whilst the owner looks like a young Louis Theroux, he was not impressed and declared him to be too ugly 😬

Two IGAs - beer with grapes. New to us, both by Birrificio Sorrento and where our bud Carlo is a part-time brewer. How to describe - how i imagine cider will taste and it never does.

Back with our pal Carlo at La Bottega della Birra for our final night in Sorrento. @kndrj.bsky.social has Exsecutio from BOIA Brewing Co, I have Play Louder Double IPA from Gimme More. Both Italian breweries.

We watched this a couple of days ago whilst on holiday. I don't even care about football but this was so lovely - would love to visit Greenland and take in a match.

Two cracking rounds of beer at our quickly adopted "local" in Sorrento. The barman clearly knows his stuff, is a part time brewer, and takes time to explain each one. Amazing place.

Visited Pompeii today and it was insane. Particularly liked the taverns, shops and houses. Here are some examples of 2,000 year old serving areas/ bars that put our kitchen surfaces to shame...

Next up, a DDH IPA, Ribelle, from Radiocraft brewery from the outskirts of Rome. Very tasty.

Mammoth schlep to Sorrento today. Sleeper train delayed by over 2 hours, then connection from Naples to Sorrento was cancelled. Much later than planned, after sharing a cab with random fellow countryfolk and one Aussie, now time for some Italian craft beer, found somewhere with an impressive list!
