Thanks #LTHEChat for tonight's chat; it was interesting and relevant - definitely food for thought and nice to network with the community. Happy New Year!

No shortcuts here! 😄

A6 At this post-festive time, can I use the analogy of fitness and health here? Shaming people into becoming fitter or healthier doesn't work. Working with people to reach and celebrate their goals, as part of a community, is key here #LTHEChat

A brilliant article, thanks for sharing!

This sounds very interesting - I hope you'll keep us posted!

A5 We're all going to have to work smarter, not harder. Academics are already overworked. There need to be clear goalposts negotiated as a sector, and continued support for staff as well as student wellbeing #LTHEChat

A4 Agree with @katharinehubbard.bsky.social that PGT provision should be quality assured with a view to enhancement given the high fees, and also the shorter timescale than UG courses #LTHEChat

A3 Completely agree with @hintondm.bsky.social about recognising the important role of academic developers and other third space professionals in working with staff (and students) to enhance teaching, learning and assessment #LTHEChat

A2 #LTHEChat There has been an ongoing process of Quality Enhancement for a number of years, which works well. As an academic developer, a challenge for us is demonstrating impact on the student experience and student outcomes, as a result of parnership working with staff.

Eek, take it easy, Sue! Hope you feel better soon.

Feel better soon, Gustavo!

A1 #LTHEChat Thankfully this system isn't being implemented in Scotland, but I could envisage the 'lowest rating' rule to be quite demotivating, putting additional pressure on an already pressured sector.

A great topic, thanks @lthechat.bsky.social and @drntasler.bsky.social 😍

I should get a free box for that advertising :D #LTHEChat

A6 #LTHEChat Notes as a record of what was said! But I sometime start asking myself questions about things I could do, or want to find out about - so they are a good reflective tool and a call to action.

A5 #LTHEChat This is a really good Q. AI is already helping me to do this - I've put transcripts of important meetings into CoPilot and it has nicely summarised key points and actions for me. But I don't do this as standard.

A4 #LTHEChat I've hinted at it already, but I like a nice lined notebook, ideally with a colourful or nicely illustrated cover.

I'm a bit like that with black ink... blue just looks messy! #LTHEChat

I love the idea of a 'someday maybe' section of the notebook! #LTHEChat

I still have one upstairs! I got to the point where it became a pain to scan them all before microwaving though... figured a new notebook was easier (and who doesn't love a new notebook?!) #LTHEChat

A3 #LTHEChat Use the right pen (or tool, if digital notetaking) - I love Bic pens and highlighters, can't go wrong. And don't write/draw so fast that you can't make out your own writing or doodles afterwards :D

I do fancy one of those but can't seem to justify it yet! :D #LTHEChat

Actually I think it was @profpeter1.bsky.social who got me into those notebooks - you wrote on them then microwaved them to erase the ink... #LTHEChat www.sciencefocus.com/future-techn...

A2 #LTHEChat I was big on Evernote for a while too (even had the microwaveable book and non-permanent pens to go with them)! And OneNote.
