I'm pleased with myself for working so hard (and revising so well) till this became a proper novella that shows I can do something besides foul-mouthed, snotty prose—which, to be clear, I take great joy in bein' so darn good at. It's just nice to stretch a bit and prove something to myself.
Just goes to show, you should never completely write off an idea that, ah ha, haunts you.
