Erbsenzähler is a german derogative for bureaucratic minded people heavily fixated on quantifyable detail. The digital turned us all into them, the erbsenzählerei infiltrating every aspect of our life, down to the tokens of our language.

Meet the EZ Weight Sorter MINI – a new machine in the ERBSENZÄHLER series that sorts individual pea seeds into predefined weight classes. As seeds accumulate in the glass tubes, their distribution traces a bell curve, turning the sorter into a live statistical display. (1/5) #projectpeacounter

I'm excited to share that my project "ERBSENZÄHLER Quality Sorter V2" is featured in ANTENNAE! 🌱🤖
The work explores the hidden biases in automated systems and invites visitors to directly engage in the sorting process—highlighting the complexities and subjectivity behind data classification.
ANTENNAE ISSUE #65 'Dataism' is now available online!
Antennae’s ‘Dataism’ focuses on the impact AI and other forms of data analysis and rendering are having on art making, curatorial practices, and writings that center on ecocritical themes.
