The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

ME: I feel like I’m starting to spiral

THERAPIST: well, we’ve talked about the five steps you should take to…

ME: I know I know. Find one thing I can pet, one book I can buy, one dumpling I can eat, one leg I can shake, and one season of Murder She Wrote I can binge

I'm in such a reading slump this month. I'm only just starting my 6th book of the month (normally I'd be on at least book 9 or 10 by the 18th). I haven't even DNF a single book this month. I just don't want to read every spare moment like normal. I just want to dissociate 1/2

I'm rereading The Other Realm series with my kids, its author, Heather G Harris, is one of my automatic read authors. Naturally, I backed her Kickstarter that launched today. Thankfully, Pay Over Time is available to make the cost more manageable, too. 1/3

I wish more people understood that autism isn't like a medical condition that lies dormant and occasionally activates (which is when you see it). It's there all the time. If you don't see it, it's because we're ACTIVELY working on hiding it (to protect ourselves from mistreatment)

What are you reading this week?

I started this ARC from DN Hoxa today, and so far, it's intriguing, and I hate that I need to take a reading break and do my job... #ReaderProblems #booksky

My kids finally finished The Midnight Trilogy series by LM Hatchell. Reading Ms. Hatchell's books is probably the closest we'll ever come to visiting Ireland, so we all love her books. Definitely recommend anything she's written. 😁😁 #booksky

Got this ARC in the late evening on Friday and haven't had much time to read it this weekend despite my excitement to get it. My 10yo told me, "You're up here. You need to be down here. You need to lower your voice level."
All because he didn't like my high-pitched squeal of excitement at 9 pm 🙄😂

I'm 50% of the way through this ARC and I'm loving it. One of the side characters is so great and I love every time he is in the scene. It releases tomorrow and I'm pretty sure it's a KU title, too.

It's only the evening of February 3rd and I've already started 5 books this month. I DNF 4 of those. The one I am finishing is dystopian with an oligarchy. The 4 I DNF were darker paranormal books. Clearly, I'm reading based on my reality instead of escapism 😭😭😭

I managed to finish 22 books this month. Book 22 was finished at 11:54 pm. Of those, 10 were ARCs - To No End by Lexy Night was my favorite of the ARCs read this month. I also DNF 13 books, but didn't collage them. #reading

Started reading The Midnight Trilogy omnibus from LM Hatchell with the kids yesterday morning. My 10yo is enjoying it and likes that it's by the same author who wrote his favorite series. It's technically an ebook, but we use the assistive reader to listen to the book while commuting each day.
