i understand the sentiment of wanting people to recognize your work, to be excited, to care, but if you let that have more weight to why you create anything over your own passion and love, you will never be satisfied. i dont think most people intend it to be dismissive
I don’t think ppl understand the whole “who cares if nobody likes it! make content for yourself” is extremely dismissive
Bc we ARE making the content for ourselves but it feels /bad/ when people don’t engage or show interest. You can care about both at the same time
