Ani is a whole mess and the horrors that haunt his dreams are a nasty little cherry on top. The one place he has no safety net.

So many. And oh boy there was a lot of hypocrisy, but he's learned to take care of himself so he can take care of others.

Ruathyr struggles with staying asleep more than falling asleep, but he's worked in routines that help with both. Nighttime teas, reading, attempts at meditation, counting stars and listening to the forest around him (this last one rather is hit or miss if he hears something that sounds off).

Theri'a tends to have an easy time now with slow breathing and counting others' breaths. He's used to dozing whenever he can, but he's also learned to prioritize a few healthy habits so he doesn't burden others (or make them upset; he's been met with a...few lectures on self care over the years).

Ani pushes himself to exhaustion, and then a bit further just for good measure. Learning not to hate sleep is an...ongoing process. Cat naps (hah) are one of his few concessions, and only when Thyst is out.
It’s late.
I can’t sleep.
What do your WoL do to fall asleep? Or is it just easy them?
#WOLQOTD heres my first.

reincarnation cycle but you're randomly reborn as one of your OCs in their respective universe with all the lore you've given them

After months of quietly existing in the shadows of my mind, Gest has rattled and roused enough to inform me that they very much enjoy hats and have a rather impressive collection from all their travels.

That's it. My piecemeal, errant guide robot likes hats.

To add to this- I hate that it takes away collaboration. So many people turning to gen AI instead of reaching out to other creatives because it's, what, easier? Cheaper?

Collective effort to see a vision come to fruition, to bring dreams to life, is incredible and important.
What I hate most about gen Ai is how it takes away the effort. When I saw art before, I knew that even if it shitty and bad, i could tell that there was someone who worked hard to make it happen. It’s why shit like The Room got popular, because you could see the earnest effort on display.

Crazy how Finn just keeps getting more and more volunteers and somehow work is only going more slowly. Absolutely wild. Baffling, really.

Ani is the sort to wake up and lay still and silent for minutes before he moves. Eyes open, breath slow and deep, listening. It can take time to ground himself in reality.

Rarely, he rises after slow, loose-boned stretches and a series of low grumbles. A lazy show of resistance against meeting the next day, in the soft wake of a quiet, dreamless night.
January 14, 2026 at 10:40 AM
And he's the sort to wake in a riot of movement, breath tearing in and out, every nerve stinging. Ready to fight, to flee. To rage even against Thyst, who surfaces at every waking.

Since I neglected it last time a question like this floated around-
January 13, 2026 at 8:11 AM
Much of it's also due to rotate, for I am a little crow, a tiny dragon, at heart and I've amassed a true hoard of treasures over time. And, slowly, I'm working toward an aesthetic I don't yet have the proper words for, but I'll know when I've arrived. We're far off still, but someday!

I've been trying to get things organized this month and I've a very long road to satisfaction, but clearing space on this desk has meant unearthing so many trinkets and memories. If anyone stumbles across this and spots their art, please know it brings me so much joy.

For the very first time, all of my scrungles got a good Heavensturn fortune. Even Ani! Even Ruathyr! My two most unfortunate souls.

I am deeply tempted to finally make Galineaux, just to see. Just to tempt fate. But to do so would be to cross the boundary into double digits.

Galineaux: 9.5/10 - Eerily stealthy. Was an absolute menace as a kid, es with his siblings, and has put those skills to work as an adult. The Holy See is very lucky that he cares so much about Sourie's safety and well-being, or there'd have been a lot more bloodshed in the wake of their experiments.

Sourie: 4/10 - Somehow better at it than Bountiful, despite being entirely deaf. He had no training in it as a knight and little enough need to learn otherwise so, even before losing his hearing to the experiments, he probably would have managed no higher than a slightly-above-average 6.
