Just had my annual incident of being called cynical by another faculty member. And that after simply pointing out that the reason we have two separate systems for the same purpose is simply because they are run by two different teams that don't talk to each other. Conway's Law anyone?

Course evaluation time, when you get "thank you for this course, I realized this is what I want to do for a living" and "your mandatory lab schedule is interfering with my work schedule and it sucks" just two comments away from each other. All to be taken on board but with a grain of salt, I guess
