I saw my therapist yesterday, and something that didn’t hit until now is when I said, “I’m glad I’m not broken, there’s just something wrong with me”. She corrected me with, “There’s nothing wrong with you, your brain processes differently.”

In case you're unaware, in the US if you're disabled from birth the only monetary support you can receive is SSI. SSI has a $2k asset/savings limit before they dock your benefits, and marriage cancels all benefits. See below numbers: beyond poverty numbers w/ no allowed addition. Eugenics in action.

I was able to be connected with a therapist, I get to see them tomorrow! \o/
One step forward, two steps back. Good news, I have a psychiatrist, so meds are in my future. Bad news, there isn’t a therapist in my area that takes my insurance that can accommodate my disorders, so I’ve been placed on a waitlist 🥹💔
