Context: Nereus is a nymph spirit who is made of water, and is siphoning herself to water a tree that she will eventually become. In my DnD game, Leora met this spirit every winter, and she had planted herself in this rip in her realm. Nereus is growing herself into a tree that branches into the center of the world.
