I'll sound rly obtuse in this post but I'm kind of convinced that a lot of ppl who say stuff about "artistic integrity" in games with very questionable design choices do this for the sake of shutting down any sort of criticism as if "art" is something that can't be criticised.

Even thought I didn't start this version of HBG until 2020, I've had the idea for it since 2008 or so, and even tried to make a CG animation of it all the way back around 2010.
