Sometimes I still think about how awesome the Vegas skyline was in 2001 Duke Nukem Forever and cannot believe they scrapped this version of the game.

Moving forward I think I’m all in on the Steam ecosystem. I love the idea of easily accessing your games on multiple devices (Steam Deck, Machine, and Frame) and having it available if I ever build a dedicated gaming PC.

I forgot how cool flinging saw blades around in Half-Life 2 is. Games used to be FUN, folks.

Well I just had to email Gruv about an order I placed through Shout Factory back on October 22nd. I got a confirmation email but haven’t received either a shipping confirmation or any of the movies in the mail. I feel like 23 days is more than enough time for them to ship this out.

I’ve been consuming all of the media about Valves Steam Machine and Steam Frame and I haven’t been this excited about new tech in forever.

Probably doesn't mean anything but... a Danny Elfman "Dark Universe" score has showed up on iTunes. I might be the only person on the planet who thinks this but... I'd be alright with this project coming back. We need more from the Universal Monsters!

I’m at (around) 124 hours into my current play through of “Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” and there is a bit of fatigue settling in. So I’m headed to kick the shit out of Calamity Ganon and then take a break from this one.

What excites me the most about the Steam Frame is that it won’t be locked to Facebook / Metas ecosystem like the Quest 3 is. VR is still an exciting piece of tech… looking forward to software & games developed for adults & not Metaverse shovelware like on the Quest.

The gaming industry has felt very stagnant recently. Valve’s trio of announcements today is an absolute breath of fresh air. I’ll be purchasing both the VR headset and the Steam Machine as soon as they launch.

Sceeenshots from my current play through of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”. The Switch 2 upgrade + Zelda Notes app is THE definitive way to experience this game. Truly a fantastic title. #NowPlaying #Nintendo #Zelda #VideoGames

I ordered a bunch of movies from Shout Factory on October 22nd. Got an email confirming the order and then radio silence since then. Are they usually that slow shipping?

Hey when is that alien spaceship going to finally land? I was promised NOVEMBER… well. C’mon and take us over already!

If anyone would like to add me to Nintendo Switch Online - we can play Mario Kart sometime.

I really want to ditch my iPhone for the Samsung Flip - but maaaaan you do sort of feel stuck in Apples ecosystem.

And its dumb because I know the foldable Apple is (rumored) to be making is essentially an iPad mini that folds in half. Well I don’t want that. I don’t need a bigger screen.

WAR PLANETS was one of the last toy lines I remember **playing** with at the end of my childhood. Released in 1996 / 1997. I was right on the cusp of being “to old” to play with toys but these little planets and figures truly captured my imagination.

Marketing trends in film and television that need to go away:

— “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler used in a trailer OR montage sequence. Bonus annoying points if they are trying to wax 80’s nostalgia.

— Slowed down cover of a popular song done for DRAMATIC EFFECT.

— Post Credit Sequences.

I actually really enjoyed the snow we got today. It fell all morning and most of the afternoon but never truly stuck. Reminds me of when I was a kid and getting snow in November / December.

Lately we have went all through the holidays without ANY, which doesn’t make a fun Christmas.

Can’t have an alphabetical list of movies available on the platform. Can have a list of **checks notes** characters who have a mustache. I hate streaming services.

Played a little bit of Simpsons Fortnight. Yes, it’s really cool having a map of Springfield to run around it. Though I would much rather have a big single player focused game, like Hit and Run, was on the PS2.
