Thanks to many Utahns speaking up over the proposed project halt, the bill removed it.

There is credence to the concern of traffic slowing in SLC because of the bus, bike, and pedestrian infrastructure, but stopping projects in their tracks is not the solution.

Heads up for those who don't understand the water issue on the Colorado and why this is a terrible bill:
We share the water from the Colorado River with 6 other states. The river has less water due to climate change, but Utah wants to keep growing and needs the water to do that.
So we take more.

Most voters only hear "we are protecting kids from porn" and don't consider what is being defined as "porn", or what intrusive privacy abuses are necessary to even enforce this bill. Please inform everyone you can; this isn't about porn.

Utah’s only openly LGBTQ lawmaker choked back tears ~ "The LGBTQ community is so tired. We are so tired of being scared every year when this body meets, because we don’t know how we’re going to be targeted.”

HB269 was supported by all Republicans in the House on a 59-13 vote and Cox signed it.
