The death penalty grew out of this country’s brutal practice of lynching.

When lynching became politically and socially unpalatable, the death penalty became the state sanctioned alternative.

No one should be killed by the state. The time to end the racist, unjust, and cruel death penalty is NOW.

Tucked away deep in the Settings app on Android are all sorts of privacy and security features you may have never seen. It’s time to get to know those settings. ssd.eff.org/module/how-...
How to: Get to Know Android Privacy and Security Settings
Open up your Android phone’s Settings app and you’ll find dozens of different options with little guidance on what those options do. Some of these settings have a serious impact on your privacy and security, altering what data gets shared automatically with apps, data brokers, and Google itself. What sorts...

I have a Rob Schneider story
When idiot Ron Schneider was born in 1963, the infant mortality rate was 29/1,000. It is now close to 5/1,000. So, no, children were NOT healthier when he was a kid. And he was, clearly, dropped on his head.

If it feels like we are living in stupid times, it's because we are.
“.. His conclusion is very stark: not just that an economy already at stall speed will fall into recession as both the data-center and wealth effects plateau, but that they’ll reverse, just as in the dot-com bubble did ..”

💯
There's a whole lot of folks in politics and media who low-key believe they can get through this era unscathed if they just keep their head down and don't piss off Trump. And some have multiple degrees earned by reading texts that specifically warned about the foolishness of this strategy. Tragic.

I have pretty strong feelings about the high likelihood of unintended consequences here 👇
One longstanding fight that has divided the political right has been over whether or not humans should be allowed to modify the weather.

These debates were often theoretical...but then the catastrophic floods in Texas took place.
The Texas floods amped up the battle between MAHA and the tech right
It's much bigger than just cloud-seeding conspiracies.
