It should be a law that until and unless emergency power needs can be met without rolling blackouts, no data centers can be built

The fact that Duke Energy is sending texts begging people to cut back on heating use during what the weather service is calling an extended "extreme cold" event tells me the state of NC has no business building data centers or anything similar

Honestly, I’m still a bit mad that King’s birthday became a federal holiday. I remember when it wasn’t and it was an act of civil disobedience to take the day off from work or school to honor him and attend celebrations. I loved that.
