I like to say this periodically so: "Man of Iron" is one of the best Transformers comics ever made and you absolutely need to read it if you never have before. Totally unlike anything that's ever been created for the brand since, and all the better for it.
#DidYouKnow one of the Autobots was active on Earth as far back as the Middle Ages? This lost Cybertronian made contact with humanity while searching for the crashed Ark, and the terrified humans would pass down the legend of this “Man of Iron” for centuries!

Man of Iron imagines Transformers as eerie folk horror, where godless metal men from beyond the stars haunt the dreams of children. They blast each other into flaming wreckage when they fight, but it never feels gratuitous, just bleak and haunting. There's really no other Transformers like it.
