How do children’s surroundings impact their mental health?
In this new study, we found that youth living in areas of greater neighborhood disadvantage exhibited more severe anxiety and depression and had longer delays to care. There is a critical need to reduce barriers to youth mental health care.

New work with @skucker.bsky.social! Screen time isn't just associated with a reduction in children's vocabulary size, but it also relates to the specific types of words they're learn first. More screen time is associated with knowing fewer body part words but more people and furniture words.

We are so proud of Clinical Psychology PhD Student Bianca Braun, appointed Dean’s Fellow entering the 2025-2026 academic year.
