This was the first family we rescued after the cats protection withdrew from rural Scotland. We aim to reduce the numbers of wild-living, feral and abandoned #cats and #kittens. We re-home where possible and neuter feral cats before releasing them. We aim to improve the lives of cats on our islands.

Another gorgeous 4/5month old tabby #kitten caught today now nice and cosy in care. ❤️ Very scared, now called Sherbet, possibly a sibling of Shadow who was caught recently. They've been placed together and are currently cuddled up close. #feralcats #catlovers

We caught the black #kitten originally seen at Committee Road tonight! It must have been so scared on its own. S/he's settling in for now, and getting used to the new surroundings with food on tap. We'll continue with traps in the area until we're sure there are no more or a mum around.

Still trapping! Last week we caught 2 more young #cats. Betsy from Baleshare,a lovely young tabby caught after a cat shaped outline was seen in straw in an outhouse, promptly taken into care. A beautiful black cat was caught in Balemore, North Uist, after a black #kitten was seen crossing the road

A huge thank you again to everyone who donated to this beautiful boy’s MRI scan and lumbar puncture. The scan is normal which is fantastic news for him. Some test results are still awaited. Hope you enjoy this footage from his trip to Stirling. He was worn out when he got home!

This lovely, friendly, grey and white cat (no microchip) was trapped this week near the Paiblesgarry Raiders stone. At first we thought she was Frosty’s Mum but she shows no signs of recent motherhood and may even be spayed. She has clearly had an owner at some point. #uist

This poor bedraggled creature was in the trap set by my gatepost, this morning. A crofter has seen it down the road a couple of days ago and let @uistcatrescue.bsky.social know. Traps set and bingo. #uist 😻🐈⬛

We are thinking of our gorgeous rescue kitten Mango who has unfortunately been having seizures . He has travelled to Inverness with his foster mum, which is a 2 hour ferry journey and a 3 hour drive. He is currently having tests. He is our #catoftheday #catsofbluesky #catlover
The little kitten we rescued on Sunday night has eaten twice their weight in weight food since coming into care! Settled in well, purring when fed and playing. Good news as mum cat has also now been brought into care. She is a young looking gorgeous grey and white cat #cats #CatsofBluesky #catlovers
