On Feb 12, Dr. McCorkindale and her students present their research findings on the uniforms and activities of Black militia members in Canada West, who aimed to prevent the 1841 extradition of freedom-seeker Nelson Hackett.

We note the passing of Professor Emeritus Eric Reiche, who died at age 92.
Eric got his PhD at UDelaware with a concentration on German history, especially Nazi Germany. He also taught Russian and European history. He is survived by his partner Dr. Mary-Anne Cyphers-Reiche and two children.
