The coalition was launched at COP28 in 2023, thanks to the initiative of the Netherlands @robjetten.bsky.social

Countries need to publish an inventory within one year after joining, and a phase-out plan two years after joining.

➡️Let's see who has delivered so far.

On the phase-out plans:

💪Good that the Netherlands "has broken the ice" with the first phase-out plans of the COFFIS countries.

We were expecting something more, but it is good starting point.

👏Good job from Ireland, Netherlands, and Belgium for being on time with their submission!

❗For the other countries: please submit an inventory as soon as possible!

❌ Some of these countries have failed to submit an inventory last year as well.

Come rain, come sunshine 🌞.
The criminal politicians must be taken to accountable for their mass killing.
Samia Suluhu has killed enough Tanzanians.
We just can't watch innocent people slaughtered in their demanding for social Justice.
How did Samia won by 98% of the votes.
Those are lies & insanity
Let's stop criminal politics by uniting our struggles and uncovering the complicity of a political elite in driving wars and ecocide ✊🏽

The oil & gas majors are not passively observing the sunsetting of fossil fuels. Rather, they are pivoting to safeguard their financial futures, @chathamhouse.bsky.social’s Patrick Schröder writes for @foreignpolicy.com. Plastics are a big part of that, and subsidies are helping to feed that growth.
Big Oil’s Next Cash Cow Is Plastics
Fossil fuel companies and countries created a deadlock in negotiations over a much-needed treaty governing their use.

Hi @wopkehoekstra.ec.europa.eu.

Time to do something about this? ⬇️

2025 is supposedly the deadline to phase out fossil fuel subsidies in G7 countries. We are not on the right track.
💸Money wasted on the problem rather than solving it.

Instead, this money could and should be used to accelerate the socially just transition to renewables and energy efficiency.
