Finally got to adding the first layer of snow effects. And glued the Stug into place.
Managed to get some oil washes on parts of the ground that may just peak through the snow.
More snow sprinkles to go on. #scalemodels #histscalemodels

Archery practice tonight, Portsmouth round wasn’t that good, but I shot a round on a 40cm target, 2 points under my PB, happy with this final end though. More practice and I will get an all gold end.

Good session with the airbrush this morning. Getting the base and highlights down on the diorama. Now for the vegetation, details then some snow.

Last nights archery was a tale of two arrows, part way through a reasonable Portsmouth round a clipped one arrow against another, it made an ‘odd’ noise and this was the reason why

After yesterday’s frostbite, which want my best, others within the group had some low scores as well, I had a good result in the indoor Portsmouth round, not stellar scores but my shooting felt fluid and the work on alignment is paying off.

Our range this morning for our first Winter season round, normally called a Frostbite, rechristened a Wetbite following the opening downpour

Ryanair asked us to update their logo so it better incorporates their brand values. Michael O'Leary is on the phone going apeshit, no idea why.

There are some benefits from working for a Food manufacturer. We have a monthly food competition where our Founder judges our efforts. This month it’s homemade pate. Mine is the individual smoked salmon terrine with cream cheese and chilli marinated king prawn. With truffle oil dressing

As the nights draw in my archery focus turns to shorter distances and inside. Dropping to lighter poundage limbs aids in perfecting form. Quite happy with the first couple of nights practice.
Especially getting what I call a Predator Triangle on the second photo. #archerylife.

Another Stug 3 update
After the whitewash was chipped I’ve weathered it with various oils. Trying for the streaked and worn whitewash look. Think this is about done for now, adding on the stowage and giving it a final Matt varnish.
Oh and diorama and figures, so sometime it might be finished.

Had a good session at the bench today, streaking the whitewash and getting some more of the details on board.

Stug update. Managed to get the chipping fluid on then a white overspray.
Quite happy with the chipping/ wearing of the whitewash. Even managed it on the wooden storage box.
Ready for the next stage of weathering and the diorama base

Sunday afternoon bench time and I’ve got the stowage painted up.
Plus made a tarp with the Tamiya epoxy putty, which was so easy to use. Just leaving it to set then I’ll paint the tarp and up.
Next, chipping and winter white wash.
