Each day, a new humanitarian crisis emerges. Amid the oligarchy's efforts to dismantle democracy, there's an attack on the arts.

Art represents freedom. It's a tool for activism and a way to build community. We must continue to create. No matter what, we must not allow them to silence us.

The best slay of 2025.
No, but if you’re looking for one, I am aware of a guy you work with that was indicted four times and convicted of thirty-four felonies.

Is there a return policy on this supposed "Golden Age" because baby, the humanitarians are allergic to the catastrophe. (Yes, I'm speaking for all of us!)
Does “Golden Age” refer to a time when planes keep crashing, eggs cost $10–15 a dozen, the U.S. is being booed and protested by all our allies, workers are losing their jobs, and Americans’ personal data is being rummaged through by unelected oligarchs and their strange crew of 20-something incels?

At a time when women’s rights remain a critical fight, this serves as a good reminder to re-invest in ourselves, before pouring into women-centered spaces, resources, organizations, and our sisterhood of friendships.

An Existence of Self
After waking, I rolled around in bed for a few minutes, stretching and untangling my limbs from the weight of bed covers, before reaching for my phone and scrolling Facebook. It’s a morning routine th...

Pause: Let's enjoy a beautiful art moment together. Let's catch our breaths, unclench our jaws, shake off the apocalyptic vibes that America's running with, and pour back into something celebratory.

Beautiful.

There isn't going to be an occasion - not one - when my voice isn't going to be heard. And I'm not someone who whispers.

Well. Here we are.

It's disrespectful outside. Just rude. But we're here, wearing the clothes of three people, because we've got work to do. Tonight's activism is all about loaded paintbrushes.

Keep writing. Keep creating. Keep speaking your truth because it'll be a lantern for others.
If you’re afraid to write your book because you think its content stands no chance in the coming climate, Remember that banned books (and books victims thought the world would never see) are the only honest window we have into some of the darkest moments of history. Write the book. #booksky

We honored him while his teachings motivated us. It was a great exchange.

America's in the hands of criminals, sadists, and megalomaniacal leaders.

There's an abundance of grief and fear amongst my friends, family, and community today. While we mourn the loss of democracy, remembering the staunch power of our predecessors, we're reminded to get back up and fight.

I wish I could con myself into believing that I'm up at 2:28 a.m. because I'm living edgy. Maybe even convince myself I'm trying to relive my younger days. But the truth is I can't settle or sleep because I'm overwhelmed by what's to come.

I'm not safe.
We're not safe.

The only event I'm celebrating next week is honoring the legacy of the great #RevMartinLutherKing.
