The local Dunkin Donuts knows they’re the only chain donuts in town. The attitude there is, “the local Krispy Kreme is closed and you will eat the donuts we choose or you will eat no donuts because the customer is an asshole.“

I am very sad to hear about the passing of Peter Krykant. His work to keep people who are struggling with substance use disorders safe and alive will leave a lasting legacy in Scotland and drug policy reform. Like many people who struggled, he was very happy to be a father, spending time with family

How easy is it to make money off the stock market if you’re in the Trump admin. Pull stocks before the tariff announcement, invest before tariffs are lifted. Make a ton of money and laugh about the financial crisis during your tv interviews. The crisis doesn’t exist if you know beforehand.

Seems like everyone is super chill about what is happening with tariffs. If you are having to pull out the “just please chill out” argument, you are losing the argument fast.

It’s funny when you realize that about 50% of people perform everyday tasks differently from you in a way you can’t imagine. Like, the day you learn that about 50% of people sit to wipe their butts, and the other half stand up to wipe. I was 23 when I found out that this was a thing.

At this point I think that Trump’s tariffs are purely about sinking the market enough to buy cheap, get rid of the tariffs, and rake in as much legal insider trading as possible. It’s easy to buy stocks cheap when you’re able to manipulate prices with a single comment.
