Weak sauce, @tottenhamhotspur.com You are taking the good will of the supporters for granted.

Levy doesn't have the guts to create a winner. Under him, this club is the sports team equivalent of an abusive spouse, always apologizing and promising to do better but never really understanding they are the problem. #COYS #sorryAnge

Back in 2001, I had the opportunity to spend some time in China. The biggest shock to my system was seeing soldiers dressing in full tactical gear with loaded automatic rifles everywhere - the airport concourse, street corners, monuments, random checkpoints. Not something we should emulate here.
A co-worker of mine (who is a judge), traveled by train from Montana to North Dakota for work this week. The train made a stop in Havre, MT, where ICE agents—armed and dressed in full military-style tactical gear—boarded the train.

Quick thoughts on trade wars:
1. Trade deficits aren't a bad thing. I've been buying Big Macs from McDonald's for 45 years, but they haven't bought anything from me. Both of us are doing just fine. 1/

Just another little man in a job too big for him.
Liar Greg Abbott says he has refused to set a special election to fill the seat of recently diseased Democratic Rep. Sylvester Turner because he says Harris County doesn’t do their elections properly.

It's a foul. That's fair. As much as I hate to say it, it's fair call by the official.

I'm wondering how many Trump voters there are who are within a decade of retirement. They can't be real comfortable today.

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

The word you are looking for is bullshit.
After the Atlantic published the texts this morning, Tulsi Gabbard is confronted today on why she lied in her testimony to the Senate yesterday. She says she misremembered.

Then his mother-in-law is the only one.

Clueless. Absolutely clueless.

Once more for the guys in back, Ctrl F is a search function, not a REsearch function.
A Pentagon official familiar with this Jackie Robinson issue tells me the use of software and key-word searches played a role in his history being scrubbed from a Defense Department website.
In new statement, Pentagon defends its decision to pull down content highlight the service of Jackie Robinson, the Iwo Jima flag-raising Marines, the Navajo Code Talkers, etc., citing the "DEI" framing.

Statement also seems to attempt a doozy of a new definition for DEI:

More Kennedy documents were released late yesterday. There won't be anything in there we don't already know, at least nothing of real substance. That means it's a bright and shiny object designed to draw our attention from other stuff they are doing.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow

I love how the Administration is dismantling the Dept of Education at the same time as so many Americans prove they can't pass a high school government or civics class. Rich irony that.

Hey Democrats: Maybe Now *Is* the Time to Fight?
Trump is racing to dismantle the rule of law before Democrats can make him unpopular enough so that other institutions can push back against him. Do the Dems understand this?

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position.

Google his name and the entry below comes up. When you click, you'll see the page has been deleted and the URL changed to include "DEI medal."

I've thought this since the 45 Administration but even so, it's tough to see confirmation.
"Republicans aren’t just closer in worldview to Turkey and Russia than they are to Democrats. The right-wing European parties are closer to Democrats than they are to Republicans." Quite the data point.
