Spent over 36 hours in bed. Now, since I don't have sick time due to a chronic illness, I have to go back to work still not feeling well. This is America, and it is only going to get worse since the current admin is actively working to strip away more workers' rights.

Messier never once addressed the blatant issue with the calls, he just attacked The Sens even when the segment was about the terrible officiating. Yes, the Sens didn't play well, but the Leafs got so many BS calls in their favor. He needs to retire again.

Spent my evening listening to ST albums in the order of meaning to me while watching the first round of the NHL playoffs. The former matters a lot more than the latter. Art is eternal, entertainment is fleeting. I love hockey, but music is eternal.

We drove by a @50501movement.bsky.social protest today, and I pointed out to my daughter that the majority were women. Then I told her, "This is why the GOP are pushing the SAVE Act. They fear women and want to silence them."

"How Will I Laugh Tomorrow" saved my life. It is the one album I think any depressed or suicidal metalhead needs to listen to. Between the title song, If I Don't Wake Up, and The Feelings Back. Listening tonight and tearing up. I have a family, kids, and so much more because of this album.

Had an interesting night at the Comets/Crunch game tonight. Got to meet a Crunch player's mother, who lives 10 minutes from where we lived for many years in Ohio. And, her brother played for the Jacks! She was sweet, and her son scored two goals and gained two fans. Good way to end the week.
