On our second day of #NewYearPlantHunt at Kem Mill on #CuerdenValleyPark we added gorse (pictured) groundsel, dandelion and primrose to our list. Hazel and alder catkins in abundance, more annual meadow grass and willow. @bsbibotany.bsky.social

The last #wildflowerhour of 2025 & wasn’t it a lovely one! Lots in flower but will they still be in bloom for the #NewYearPlantHunt which begins on 1st January, let’s meet again next Sunday to find out! Head over to @bsbibotany.bsky.social to find out how to take part!
It’s beginning to look a lot like… New Year!
More wildflowers are beginning to stir, and I spotted these today for the last #WildflowerHour of 2025: groundsel, primroses, speedwell, hazel catkins, periwinkle, blackthorn, hogweed, sweet violet, cyclamen and snowdrop. #TheWinter10

Starter Packs are one of my favourite features of @bsky.app. I’ve curated 20+ climate-themed packs on everything from health to comedy (all linked on my profile). But this one is special: my very first pack, the colleagues I personally turn to for insight + perspective, most of whom I know IRL.
