Love that JP is staying in the organization!!
Per sources: João Paulo is back with the #Sounders organization but this time as an assistant coach for Tacoma Defiance.

JP will be working his first coaching job under former Houston Dynamo head coach Paulo Nagamura who will take over Defiance.

They were signed in early November last year?

Well deserved! I wonder if Gomez will occupy the office roster homegrown slot this year as I don’t see him really getting many minutes at a stacked winger position.
Per sources: #Sounders have signed forward Yu Tsukanome and midfielder Sebastian Gómez from Tacoma Defiance to a first team contract.

Yu would require an international spot but is a player the team has identified as an interesting talent and has been a standout with Tacoma.

I’m still buying the potential on Gnaulati even if he failed to make the offensive leap last year. In the right system, he’s got the potential to really be a player.

Seems likely the club will want to see if he could develop into one of a double pivot. They have been really successful pushing youth attacking midfielders back a line.

Tacoma Defiance have paid a transfer to Monterey Bay FC for 20yo attacking midfielder Xavi Gnaulati. He had 5 goals and 2 assists in about 1,400 minutes across all competitions last year.

With no forwards currently on the Defiance roster, he may have a big opportunity this year to take a next step. This is a good sign!
Sounders academy forward Leo Flores called into USA u18 camp.

In a salary cap league this is the type of move you almost have to make.

A U22 is most likely a project as you say, really the replacement for Moose next year is Jordan since due to Jordan’s injuries this year Moose was basically our starting striker. De Ro and a U22 are likely neither as good as Moose but they are cheaper with upside.
November 13, 2025 at 3:04 PM
The replacement is our DP striker who we should expect to be healthier and has amazing per 90 numbers this year. Then I would get a U22 striker that hits the cap at $200 to pair with De Ro as your backups. That saves you about $800k and as a group should have better on field performance.

Moose is on $585k, if you are able to get 350k in GAM that is almost $1 million in cap space you have opened up which is substantial. It’s the kind of move I think you need to make to keep the roster healthy from a cap perspective.

Bought my wife Loop earplugs and she has been extremely happy with them.

She has the multi mode switch version.

Maybe Raul vs Austin in the game the kids won

I’m going to be annoyingly semantic but Nouhou before the incident was a written in pen starter. If he is now rotational based on tactics then I don’t think that is “fully” back. I do overall agree with your more important point that his antics and that incident in particular are tough to accept.
August 1, 2025 at 2:49 AM
Yup agree that is more likely, the other scenario I think is plausible is that Cruz Azul is the best team in CONCACAF and Brian thinks Nouhou is more defensively sound so tactically he was the better choose for this game in that LB competition.
August 1, 2025 at 2:44 AM
As you call out, I think it’s not yet clear he has fully regained standing in the team. From Brian’s press conference I don’t think we will fully know that until next MLS game after leagues cup (assuming we don’t advance and have fixture congestion)

I don’t know how he would get any playing time on the first team but they have to be thinking hard about signing him right?

Ah that’s a good shout, wasn’t taking Club World Cup into account. I also had the same interpretation from the business meeting.
July 1, 2025 at 4:45 AM
I was also searching through the Euro U21 squads and an interesting name I saw was Petar Ratkov, a 21 year old Serbian striker who can also play on the left. Big and lanky at 6 foot 4 which would offer a different look than current options and transfer market says 3 million euros.

I think you are right. It still just boggles my mind though that not being the best player on the team makes some people state he just isn’t a good player or is vastly underperforming. That leap in and of itself still makes me pull my hair out (which is already gone…)

This is really one of the weirdest narratives that has developed amongst the fan base this season, I really don’t get it.

I feel seen!

Seriously though the HOMETEAM merch looks pretty good overall. For me it’s just the kit that is pretty awful. The green of the current kit and the yellow of the logos just don’t mesh.

This is the most important part of an impending move. If they don't clearly communicate as you mentioned, this move has a real chance of driving fans away from engaging with the club at all. If they do this right, they can have frustrated fans that at least understand and still engage in some way.
