Having been lucky enough to photograph Osprey at close quarters in the wild (not in a hide) I managed to get an extreme close up of their talons in action.The bird fished about 25’ away from me giving this view of its spicules which help keep hold of the slippery pray #osprey @ukoi.bsky.social #bird

Beaky arrived this evening at 18:12. She normally arrives around April 1st and tends to spend a week in Middlebere gorging herself, often opting to sit on the Middlebere Channel
