I love Death, getting Symbolic when I was in 8th grade was a life shaping even. I love that band so much.

I just finished the recently released biography, and I really liked it, I might go so far as to say it’s essential reading for Death Metal fans.

As I read, I’ve been listening to the records.

Penn State, an organization buoyed by merch and football tickets sold to people who’s uncle went to a satellite campus, continues to actively make my life worse.
WPSU in Pennsylvania becomes the first public media outlet to shut down as a result of the rescission of federal funding.

WPSU TV and radio serves one of the largest geographic coverage areas in the nation, stretching across 24 counties of central Pennsylvania.
Penn State to shutter WPSU, board declines transfer to WHYY
In voting down a proposal to transfer the station to WHYY, trustees expressed concern over a $17 million subsidy and wanted a commitment to hire staff.

Every Dylan Outlaw show has atleast 300 people talking about how he refuses to be shown on the screens and at this point I’m convinced it might be the greatest bit of mythmaking or myth perpetuating, I guess, since the guy from The League lied about being in 9/11

RIP to Brent Hinds. It was revelatory to me to hear some of the fucked up chicken picking and banjo rolls he would play on Mastodon songs. In an era of boring breakdowns and choruses, it was so cool to hear some real gross shit mixed in.

Once again amazed that you can pay like 10 bucks and see Bob Dylan open with Masters of War while people who are pretending to hicks complain about the screens

Thinking about reading The Count of Monte Cristo entirely on my phone. Some people are already saying it’s one the bravest pieces of performance art ever done.
