I’m glad this article specifies LLM and generative AI vs. sticking to generic “AI”. I have to assume insurance companies are all-in on ML models to forecast risk and have been for a long time.

A movie that takes place where you’re from.

Gattaca

(The Marin County Civic Center where I go the the library, vote, and serve for jury duty.)

I’m strangely less offended by the gum than I am getting married in blue jeans. (I say this as a Southerner, myself.)

I found some mushrooms today while walking the dog. (I didn’t eat them, don’t worry.)

It's obvious that nearly every person in Trump's orbit is a complete and utter moron. I don't see how people are so easily fooled by such unserious and incurious people.

What a bargain! At $131/g it only took a $131,000 bribe to save millions in tariffs.
"It was tough to beat Apple, but the Swiss did it." said one administration official.

How the Swiss convinced Trump to drop tariffs with gifts of a Rolex desk clock and a 1 kg gold bar.

I’m guessing they’re protecting their own who are, of course, also in these files.

I am neither a content creator nor in the media, but I want you to know that I am checking out Lumines Arise.

I guess that's how you don't like Mayor Pete.

How can you not love Mayor Pete, though?

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

Whoa. I had no idea I could do this. (Quest > PC) Excuse me while I disappear forever.

I haven’t turned mine on since November of 2020. But it still eats an HDMI port in my receiver… the price hike reminded me that I’d been paying for Gold/Core all this time.

You can just unplug the Xbox.

Yeah, I was going to make that joke. "You can read what some *other* guys on the internet think."

I don't think people are as passionate about canon/timeline for Bond as other long-running franchises. Connery > Lazenby > Connery muddied the waters over 50 years ago.

I thought the long-taboo question was about gun violence? Thanks, for this lasting gift, Rep Jay Dickey!
Here's why the federal government can't study gun violence
The congressman who pushed the so-called "Dickey amendment" came to regret it.

I just discovered that Lumines Arise exists. This feels like a handheld game to me, purely based on my literal hundreds of hours of Lumines on PSP and Vita.

When will this come to Switch? Or am I buying a Steam Deck?
November 11, 2025 at 7:45 PM
The films have 3 timelines.

Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton are in a universe where Bond was married and his wife killed by Blofeld, the leader of Spectre.

Brosnan's 4 films is disconnected from this past.

Craig was a total reboot.

This seems like an easy problem to solve to me.

I'll second this. Most of my accent is gone after 20+ years away from Georgia, but a few things remain: Joo-lie is the 7th month of the year. Niiiighn is the number after eight. I'm always fixin' to go somewhere or do something.

I’m going to just pretend this is shadow dropped when it finally comes out. “Oh, you mean I can play it today? Wow!”

I thought you were going to say "Microsoft Word's stupid smart quotes fuck it up again"
November 4, 2025 at 10:04 PM
Yeah. Like a "Roaring 20's" would have been bad enough, but to literally call it Gatsby-themed is bonkers.
