Finished S2Ep8 of Andor. It continues to be wild to me that something like this can exist in the Star Wars universe. An absolute masterpiece of an episode! Incredible direction from Janus Metz as well.

I know I'm extremely late to the party but just finished season 1 of Andor and it might very well be the best thing Star Wars has ever produced. We see the beautiful parts of the rebellion, and the ugly parts, all from the eyes of ordinary people. Can't wait to jump into season 2.

Saw Joker Folie A Deux. I... am of two ways about this movie. On one hand, it's not as bad as I've been hearing. It's a critique of the response to the first film masquerading as a 2 hour musical, and I would argue it's not even really a musical but a movie with musical bits in it.

Started playing Silent Hill 3 on a random whim. My play style has been decisively different to SH2 in that I'm running away more than fighting. Pretty sure I also missed the shotty. Strikes a decisively different tone as well. Heather really is just a girl.

After playing Silent Hill 2 HD Remaster (yes I know, don't @ me) and Silent Hill 2 Remake both for the first time one right after the other, I think I can comfortably say that this game is special. Will probably become one of my favourite games!

Finished The Great Ace Attorney (FINALLY!). That ending though 🥲 A few minor quibbles with some trial logic but story-wise definitely up there with AAI2.

Almost finished with reading it but I can pretty much say with certainty now that Lessons in Chemistry is one of my favourite books I've read this year. Just absolutely riveting from start to finish and incredibly witty. Looking forward to watching the show afterwards!

Wishing everyone a lovely 2024! The past year saw me engaging with plenty of great films and broadening my horizons with those that had come out this year. My total? 64! I'll be extending that to books this year as well as games, and of course a big year for my fanfiction as well!
