Born in Brechin, Angus, Scotland, went to school in England, worked in London, Hong Kong, Riyadh and New York. Married to a awesome Nicaraguan lady for 25 years. Two amazing children, beautiful service dog, Finn. Stroke survivor.
Before everybody gets too excited about the Epstein files being released by the House of Representatives, take a breath. I find it hard to believe that four Republican Congress people will go against Trump‘s wishes, he only needs one. The DOJ are already reaching out to Boebert & Mace, I am cynical

Of the 8 senators that voted with the GOP and Trump, only two were up for reelection (Durban and Shaheen) and both them are retiring.

The remaining 6 should hear from constituents, King (Maine) Kaine (Virginia) Hassan (New Hampshire) Fetterman (Pennsylvania) Rosen and Cortez Masto (Nevada)

Unbelievable, the Democrats had a wonderful week last week. Tonight, democratic senators have undone all the benefits that the Democratic Party have won. They are a joke, they are both spineless and deluded, the GOP will give them nothing except lies.

Grouse of the night, one of my little luxuries that I buy at the supermarket is Kerrygold butter. I went to my local supermarket it , normally costs 5.50, was $ 13.5. The butter is made in Ireland, so the tariffs are causing an increase on the grocery shelves, but a 70% increase thats price gouging.

Random question for the night. Trump’s admin are paying ICE agents during the government shutdown. But, they have no money to pay Air Traffic Controllers. That shows you what their priorities are and proves that he and his administration doesn’t give a shit about common American folks

Trump’s late night post on “truth social” is telling.

“TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT.”

He is correct, his shutdown is not popular. the GOP can’t win then he isn’t on the ballot, republicans are not a party, they are a cult.

Random thought of the night, JD Vance’s response to the Politico reporting of the bigoted messages is telling. That is who Vance is, a white supremacist. Plus ‘Kids do stupid things, especially young boys” is ridiculous, the racists are not kids, grown men.

Random thought of the day, furloughed federal workers are required to work without pay.

Republican Members of the House of Representatives are being paid, but are not working as ordered my GOP leadership and Trump.

Welcome to Trump’s America

Random thought of the night, if the Toronto Blue Jays win the World Series this season, which is possible, Trump and MAGA are going ballistic. America’s pastime, baseball, World Series Champions, CANADA’s Toronto Blue Jays. That never happened in Biden’s or Obama’s presidency.

Let’s be clear, both the Republicans and the Democrats take responsibility for closing down the government. However, Republicans own this shutdown because they control the House, Senate and the White House.

As a regular voter, this fight is necessary. Hopefully the Democrats will not bottle it.

YouTube and Google became the next company to sell their soul to Devil but settling a court case with Trump, I am not surprised but I am sad.

Watched the Ryder Cup at the TV. I am a US citizen, my ancestry is 100% Scottish, so I was rooting for the Europeans, particularly after the behavior of the crowd. Trump’s presence was a microcosm of his America, divided & rude. Once Trump was gone, the Americans began to put it together, too late.

Random thought of the night, the looming government shut down, I understand that Trump is threatening to fire thousands of federal workers if the Democrats don’t accede to his threats. That should not stop the Democrats from voting against the GOP, if Democrats falter, then we need new leadership.

Random thought of the night, American golfer Bryson DeChambeau thought Trump attending the Ryder Cup would inspire the American team…not sure it’s working.

Ramaswarmy is running for Governor on Ohio. Previously he was vocal proponent of releasing ALL Epstein records, now….crickets.

Supposedly, he want to talk about local issue not national ones. At least two of Epstein’s victims were from Ohio, close enough?

I can understand the GOP reluctance to release the Epstein files, before they just thought they were gonna catch Bill Clinton. Now appears Trump, Musk, Bannon, Thiel and Paulson are in the list.

Release the Epstein files
September 26, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Appears that the Supreme Court is under the control of Trump. The constitution doesn’t matter, only what their great leader wants. The Supreme Court will never let the Epstein Files to published. The senators’ who voted for the last 3 justices for the Supreme Court bear the responsibility for this.
September 26, 2025 at 10:05 PM
Random thought of the night, why are MAGA freaking out about Trump‘s escalator problems?

The step each has a weight limit, normally 320 lb to 256 lb. So maybe the problem is Trump’s weight, just asking.

Trump has 14 months until the mid-terms elections. No changes on policy, no Alito or Thomas retiring. The economy is weak, inflation is higher, Tariffs are a disaster, ICE secret police are terrorizing cities, no foreign policy. Before the election Trump calls for a state of emergency to take power.
September 23, 2025 at 1:14 AM
Random thought of the day, if we survive the madness of the Trump’s presidential term for office, I am not sure we can survive the horrendous decisions coming at of the Supreme Court.

If Trump can nominate 2 young conservative justices to replace Alito and Thomas, then the damage will be permanent
